Staying up-to-date with the newest plugins registered in the plugin library at BioGPS is now easier than ever. We’ve added an RSS feed that broadcasts the 15 most recently registered plugins. For those who aren’t familiar, RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication, which is a convenient mechanism to stay up to date with dynamic content on the web. The feed is compatible with all RSS readers including Google Reader and Microsoft Outlook.
And one special note for the computational biologists. In addition to the standard RSS fields, the feed also contains a custom “biogps” namespace that contains the URL template for each plugin. Not only are you updated when a new plugin is added, but you can also see the exact linking mechanism that BioGPS uses.
Give it a try and let us know what you think. Enjoy!
